GR- Το DRIMMI (Greek — Diaspora Research & Immigration Initiative) είναι ένα διεπιστημονικό σώμα που συγκροτείται από πρόσωπα-εταίρους από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό με ενδιαφέρον για την ελληνική διασπορά, μετανάστευση και τον προσφυγισμό τόσο στην ιστορική τους διάσταση, όσο και στην παρούσα. Αποσκοπεί να λειτουργήσει ως κέντρο για έρευνα, επικοινωνία και δράση που αφορούν τις πιο πάνω περιοχές. Το DRIMMI προέκυψε μέσα από το Greek Diaspora and Immigration Research Program το οποίο εγκρίθηκε από το Institute of International Education, USA και το Ίδρυμα FULBRIGHT στο πλαίσιο του Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program, που χρηματοδοτείται από το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος. Ο σχεδιασμός του λογότυπου για την «πρωτοβουλία» DRIMMI βασίζεται σε τρείς βασικές αρχές: την απλότητα, τη διαχρονικότητα και την ευελιξία. Η μορφή του εμπνέεται από την έννοια της «διασποράς» και της «κίνησης» των μεταναστευτικών ροών. Το γράμμα D (Diaspora) μετατρέπεται σε μια ημικυκλική φόρμα (μονάδα = μετανάστης) η οποία μοιάζει να επαναλαμβάνεται επ’ άπειρον (πλήθος = μετανάστευση). Ο λογότυπος του DRIMMI είναι μια μορφή σε κίνηση, ένας διαρκώς μεταλλασσόμενος λογότυπος σύμφωνα με τις ανάγκες της κάθε εφαρμογής. Εφαρμόστηκε για πρώτη φορά στο 1st Thessaloniki International Greek-Diaspora Symposium που πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη τον Μάιο του 2017. EN- DRIMΜΙ (Greek — Diaspora Research & Immigration Initiative) is an interdisciplinary body of individuals from Greece and abroad, a critical nexus for research on Greek Immigration, Diaspora and the Refuge, that largely aims at promoting discussion and cross-fertilization within and outside academia. The members of DRIMMI contribute to its aims by increasing public understanding on Greek migration, past and present. DRIMMI emerged out of the Greek Diaspora and Immigration Research Program, an initiative that itself grew following the undertaking of a scholar exchange program Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program, that operates under the auspices of the Institute of the International Education, USA and the FULBRIGHT Foundation, and is funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. DRIMMI's logo design was based on three basic principles: simple form, timelessness and flexibility. Its form is inspired by the notion of "diaspora" and "movement" of migratory flows. The letter D (Diaspora) is transformed into a semicircular form (unit = migrant) that seems to be repeated indefinitely (crowd = migration). The DRIMMI logo is a moving form, a constantly transformable logo according to the needs of each application. It was first applied to the 1st Thessaloniki International Greek-Diaspora Symposium held in Thessaloniki in May 2017.
